1.1 Procedures of teaching
Before I start my class formally, I always do this "Friendzy Challenge" that works as an ice-breaker for them to be motivated and eager to learn the lesson. Through this activity, I get to know my students one by one since the activity involves the whole class, they will pass this ball to the next person till the music stops and whoever ends up with that ball shall creatively introduce his/her name. The good thing about this is that it will keep my students attentive at all times.
I incorporated multimedia materials, such as television, into the teaching procedure to enhance the learning experience by providing visual and auditory presentations for my students. I begin by introducing the topic and learning objectives, followed by a brief overview of the presentation to create context. I also write specific symbols on the white board to give hints to my students about our discussion.
I also encourage them to ask questions and engage in meaningful dialogue, so they can practice their English communication skills. I usually assign follow-up activities or assessments to ensure students have comprehended and internalized the material presented via television.
Activities like Oops Game! This activity involves a lot of attention and coordination. The first thing I do is to ask a question and then call a random person to answer my question through the use of counting in random order or draw lots.
1.2 Time management and organizing activities
The class lectures in that school only last for 40 minutes, you may think that's short. But the thing is, when you are teaching or doing your demonstrations, it all depends on the topic that is given to you. I had this class discussion about teaching Numbers (Word Syllables), where I had to turn the last activity into homework because we ran out of time.
There are also cases in which the topic is too short or that is already been dicussed by the former teacher. This is why sometimes we had to improvise our lesson plan, what I did was that I engaged them to a group activity where they needed to give me their takeaway about the lesson and sometimes ask them questions related to the discussion to make sure that they grasped the information well.
1.3 Classroom management
During my Teaching Demo in Class-8C

In terms of Classroom Management, our Teaching Assistant will always handle that since whenever they discipline the students they always use their native language so that it will be easier to organize the whole class. However, active listening, empathy, and cultural sensitivity played a vital role when I was connecting with my students from diverse backgrounds.

I also applied the Operant conditioning in my lesson, making use of rewards whenever one of my student volunteer or even try to answer my question. I occasionally incorporated small rewards like candies to motivate and engage students. However, I also ensured that this approach was culturally appropriate and did not create any disparities among the students.
1.4 Problem-solving while teaching and staying in the designated school

I encountered several challenges, one of the most prominent being the difficulty in delivering instructions in English. While my students were eager to learn, the language barrier often created communication gaps. To address this, I employed various strategies such as simplified language, visual aids, and interactive activities to make instructions more accessible.
Additionally, I usually asked for guidance from our supervisor at Future School, Miss Ana, who provided invaluable insights into effective communication within the Vietnamese classroom context. That is why, I am thankful to our teaching assistants who are always there to help us in giving instructions to the students. After my two-day demonstration, I learned a valuable lesson in Education and that is the power of resilience and resourcefulness when navigating unfamiliar teaching environments is a must.
1.5 Others
Missing my first-ever students during the Student Exchange Program in Vietnam is a feeling that lingers in my heart. The moments of shared laughter, cultural exchanges, and the spark in their eyes when they grasped a new concept will forver be in my memory. Although the program's end marked our physical separation, the connection we formed endures. Thank you so much guys, until we meet again!
