1.1 Curriculum
The Bachelor of Secondary Education - Major in English curriculum is designed to equip students with a strong foundation in English language and literature while developing essential pedagogical skills. We aimed to inspire and educate the next generation of English learners and speakers, fostering a love for language and literature in secondary school students. I would also like to thank our Supervisor at Dong Thap University Miss Nguyen, thank you so much for all your guidance and words of wisdom and for making us feel welcome.
1.2 Teaching plan related to your major
During my teaching demonstration, I made four lesson plans. I taught three different grade levels in one day and those are grades 6,7, and 8. On my second day of teaching demo I taught Sixth Grade. Before writing my lesson plan, I made to sure to include Cognitive, Affective and Psychomotor aspects of learning and teaching. I came up with activities that the students enjoy. Especially, the ice-breaker that I would like to call "Oops Game!". Throughout my teaching demo I wasn't alone, there are teaching assistants that assisted me in managing the classroom and they also helped me in setting up the materials that I will be using for my lectures, which I will always be grateful for.
One thing that I am most thankful for is Miss Ana, a Filipino teacher working in Vietnam and a prominent educator in Trường Tương Lai Future School) who guided us in making our Lesson Plans, even in such short notice she gave us tips and advice in creating the most comprehensive and effective Lesson Plan that will align to the teaching practice in that particular school. Thank you so much Miss Ana!
